E-Tabs and Pulse Train announce integration of leading software tools

E-Tabs and Pulse Train, both recipients of the MRS/ASC Award for Technology Effectiveness, have announced today a
strengthening in their partnership with the integration of their best-of-breed products, the E-Tabs Reader and Pulsar®
Web.
Pulsar Web is the world's first fully-featured Web-based survey analysis tool. It allows internal staff and end users
quick, easy and secure access to survey data, collected in a wide variety of formats. All that is needed is a Web browser
and Internet access.
The forthcoming release of Pulsar Web (version 3.16) incorporates full support for the E-Tabs suite of enhanced reporting
products with no intervening import/export or reformatting steps required.
The E-Tabs Professional Reader is a productivity tool for researchers (both supplier and client side) designed to maximise
their benefit from and access to quantitative research tables.
By replacing traditional tabs with a flexible electronic E-Tabs version, researchers can more easily disseminate research
analysis among clients and colleagues, check tables for accuracy, collaborate and directly transfer key data into their Excel,
Word or PowerPoint reports and presentatations.
The seamless integration of Pulsar Web and the E-Tabs Reader opens the door for instant charting and reporting with E-Tabs's
award-winning Enterprise solution too. Users may take their previously created tables, generated in Pulsar Web, and via a
couple of clicks, see their preferred PowerPoint presentation updated with the correct figures.
Behind the scenes, Pulse Train and E-Tabs are using a developing XML based standard, XtabML, for the interchange of
aggregated data (i.e. tables) between systems developed by different vendors.
Benjamin Rietti, CEO of E-Tabs, commented: "We have brought together two extremely powerful and widely-used tools and
their integration delivers real productivity benefits to all users. Getting more value out of existing data is a key client
requirement nowadays and I really believe this combination offers huge value and significant opportunities for improved
reporting capabilities across our industry."
Pat Molloy, CEO of Pulse Train, said: "It has been a real pleasure working with E-Tabs. Not only is the end result
extremely exciting for end users, but the XtabML exchange of data between our two systems marks the beginning of more openness
in the industry. It gives clients the opportunity to pick best-of-breed applications from different vendors without having to
worry about compatibility issues."
The E-Tabs Lite reader is a free download; the Professional version offers advanced capabilities.
