Does a Bureau Bounce?
This injected new life into our headquarters and ushered in a new era for the office. Therefore in honour of this milestone we thought a celebration was in order.
We’d been dying to try out the hugely popular Bounce, the Ping-Pong bar in London, for a while. So last week we decided it was about time to give it a go!
Bounce combines Ping-Pong with a lively bar and restaurant creating a unique vibe when you step in the door. The place was vibrant with a ‘Friday night’ feel even though it was the start of the week.
Things started off at a civilised pace with everyone having a hit around. Then once our confidence grew it got a bit more competitive with some ‘proper’ doubles games and points scoring, followed by some intense one on one matches.
Towards the end of our timeslot we played a few ‘round the table’ games. For those not in the ‘Ping-Pong know’ – round the table involved the whole group dashing around the table taking it in turns to hit the ball then putting the racket down for the next person to pick up. The aim is to pick up the racket and hit the ball in time, otherwise you’re out. The winner is the last one left!
After all the running around we decided to cool off with a walk to The Tower of London to catch a glimpse of the ceramic poppies before they were taken down. The major art installation in the moat of The Tower of London marked one hundred years since the first full day of Britain’s involvement in the First World War.
Everyone was stunned with the installation and agreed the pictures don’t do it justice.
All in all a great night was had by all. Here’s to the next five years!
